Advertising and Commercial photography is probably best defined as any photography for which the photographer is paid for images rather than works of artworks of art. Wholesale, retail, and professional uses of photography would fall under this definition. Photographs made to illustrate and usually sell a service or product. These images, such as pack-shots, are generally done with an advertising agency advertising agency, design firm or with an in-house corporate design team.
When bidding a commercial project please keep this in mind:
- How will the images be used? Advertisements, Billboards, Brochures, Annual Reports, Website, Social Media ( facebook, Twitter & etc)
- How long will the images be used? 2 Years 5 years?
- What is your budget? What is a range that you are willing to work within.
- What is your specific shot list?
- What is your time line?
